I'm bored, so here's five things you might not know about me.

1. I love fruit. All fruit. I just ate a apple and it was like, the greatest thing ever(well, the greatest thing in the last hour anyway).

2. Terry Pratchett is one of my favorite authors. His Discworld series is genius. I highly recommend it. Good Omens is also excellent. It's one of my favorite books.

3. Showtunes are musical crack and I love them more than is holy.

4. Paula Deen is my soulmate.

5. I've had many a dirty thought about Mitch Pileggi.

Heh...Mitch Pileggi is the subject of many a dirty thought, yes! And I also find it amusing that on my flist, this post is directly below one where the poster hates Skinner on the X-files! LOL

I have that Paula Deen cookbook. The husband and I spent a day exploring Savannah while on vacation year before last, and we ate dinner at The Lady & Son's. GREAT food. :)

I am so jealous of you that I can't properly put it into words. My mom and I love Paula Deen. We watched her Chefography on Food Network the other day and I decided I'd trade my mom for her. She was ok with that though, as long as she could come over for dinner.

I swear, they practically had to role us out of there in a wheelbarrow, we were so full! First they bring you hoe cakes and corn bread, and then we sampled just about everything from this big, buffet, and then - of course - we managed to stuff dessert in, too. Is it any wonder I gained 7 lbs. on that vacation? *g*

I've heard a lot about Terry Pratchett but have never actually read anything. What's the first book in the Discworld series? I'll have to pick it up while I'm at the bookstore this weekend.

I don't think I'd recommend the first book. I honestly don't like it very much. I'd start off with Guards! Guards!, Masquerade or Going Postal. Those are good ones, and you don't really need to know any of the characters before hand.

Yeah, Paula Deen has a show on the Food Network. She's just the cutest lady in the world.
