Cue the lightning...
She lives... SHE LIVES! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
So after a bit of a hiatus, I'm back. Sorry I was gone so long, but retail + Christmas mean I didn't really spend any time on livejournal. But I'm back now. This is probably going to be a sort of jumbled post because I have a lot I want to talk about, but I don't want to get spammy.
* Just to get this out of the way first who wants my thoughts on the latest Doctor Who spoiler?

I'm disappointed that it's not Paterson Joseph or Chiwetel Ejiofor, but I'm willing to give Matt Smith a chance. I just hope he grows some eyebrows and does something with his hair. I think the most important thing now is finding out what he's going to wear. I want something with a top hat.
The second most important thing is who his companion is going to be. Personally, I'd like two companions. One of them can be from contemporary Earth, but I'd like the other one to be from the past/future or from another planet. Preferably a woman and a man, but I'd also take two women. (I'd also like a pony and a plastic rocket)
Also, I'm pretty sure I know how Ten is going to kick it. It's going to be the same way Daniel Jackson died that one time. His sideburns are going to EAT HIS FACE. Seriously, those things are getting out of hand.

* I was quite pleased with iCarly the other day. Because (without getting too spoilery) that is totally my iCarly ship. (Other than Me/Carly's Brother)
* Comcast sucks because I can't watch Countdown or Rachel in my room, but they do have some good stuff On Demand. I've been gorging myself on Batman Beyond and The Batman. Thundercats is up next!
* I managed to finish my first knitting project, a scarf for the little girl my mom babysits. It wasn't great, but I started to get the hang of it after a while. I'm working on a matching bag for it right now.
* MY MOM GOT TICKETS FOR US TO SEE WICKED IN MARCH! I'M TOTES EXCITED!
* Last episode of SGA is on Friday. :( I'm so far behind. I haven't seen anything since episode 6. I doubt I'll catch up before it's on, but I'm working on it.
* I was supposed to go with my mom to Powell's Books today because I have a gift certificate, but we ended up not going. I was bummed. Powell's is one of my favorite places. Hopefully, we'll go on Friday, so give me any book recs!
Anyway, I hope everyone had a good holiday season. If you've post any awesome fic or icons or anything, link me to it, please. :)

Me too! I was a little 'eh?' at first when he was announced to be in the running, but then I really liked the idea of him being the Doctor and now he's not. Boo.
But yeah, giving Matt Smith a chance is a good idea.
(Psst, to me he looks like a giraffe.)

(I don't know about a giraffe, but he definitely is unique looking.)

(Also, how funny is it that you watch iCarly? So funny.)

(Shush, it's because I have younger siblings and it's really not that bad of a show. Well, it's better than Hannah Montana anyway.)

For what it's worth, you can get Keith and Rachel's shows on itunes for free each day :D I often get it from there. Stupid not being home, evar.
Aw, I love Powell's too. I haven't been there in years. Hm...books. I have no idea. I've been reading Top Gear books and shitty teen fiction during break....yeah...I'm going to leave it at that...

To be honest, Matt Smith's hair might have been more horrifying to me than his lack of eyebrows. I think mostly it was because it didn't look like it had been washed in a while. It'll be interesting to see what they do with it.
I can still watch the shows if I'm downstairs (and no one whines about me watching them), but if I can't, I do download the podcasts. It's not the same though.
I was really excited about going to Powell's. I got up early on my day off and everything. I don't think I've been there in a couple of years. I heard they usually have tons of Doctor Who books, so I'll probably check those out first. :)
