bubbles83: (Wicked)
I just spent 5 minutes trying to find the lid to my water bottle only to realize I had put the lid on.

It's my dad's birthday today. He's turning 47, which I immediately assume means something Rambaldi-ish is going to happen. But maybe I watch too much TV. And our friend Shylah might be having her baby today, so that would be cool.

Happy Birthday Dad, and maybe Happy Birthday Payton!

You're stuck inside Fahrenheit 451, which book do you want to be?
Ooo. That's a tough one. I think I'm going to go with The Chronicles of Narnia. I'm cheating and using all of them. I loved those books when I was little, and if I had to be a book (or series) I would want to be that one.

Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character?
Ha! Should I list them by book for you? Let's start with Harry Potter. First we've got every single Weasley male in existence, except for Percy, who sucks donkey balls. Weasleys rock. They are beyond pure awesomeness. Especially the twins. The twins hold a special place in my heart, for they rock the most of all the Weasleys. Then there's Remus and Sirius. Sigh. Moony and Padfoot. They get put together because I couldn't possibly pick between them. If JK ever decided to write Everything The Ever Happened to Sirius and Remus I would be eternally happy.
I also have a great appreciation for Crowley from Good Omens. It might have something to do with the fact that, in my head, Crowley is Johnny Depp.
I could go on and on, but really, how sad is it that I have so many crushes on fictional characters?

The last book you bought is?
Wicked by Gregory Maguire. It was awesome. You should read it.

What book are you currently reading?
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Yes, I'm reading it again. You can never read it too many times.

Five books you would take with you on a deserted island?
1. Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett - Quite possibly my favorite book of all time. It's about an angel and a demon who work together to try to stop the antichrist from starting the apocolypse.

2. The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien. This isn't cheating because my copy has all three books in one volume. So there. :P

3. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban or Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Neither of these is my favorite, but book 4 has no Remus, so I can't pick that. ;)

4. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare. Then not only would I have something to read, but I could also amuse myself by acting the plays out.

5. If it's after July 16 then I'd want Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. If it's before July 16 then I'd want The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook. It just makes sense to have around. You never know what you might come across on a deserted island. Although, I doubt it has anything in there about giant robot dinosaur monsters, so who knows if it would be helpful on my island or not.
