I got a new power cord! YAY!!! *pets Jumper One*

While I was without my laptop I saw Singin' in the Rain, went down to Monmouth for my cousin's wedding, continued my exploration of the Doctor Who audios by listening to "Minuet in Hell" and "Invaders From Mars", and worked.

Today was full of cranky customers and the system went down so credit and bridal were down which made people crankier. I was so glad when it was time for me to go home.

Oh, and Rachel Maddow got her own show! WIN!!!!!!

bubbles83: (OMG! RAGE!)
I killed the power cord to Jumper One. D: Not cool. I ordered a new one from Dell, but I don't know how long it will take to get here. Super lame. I had plans for my days off that involved my computer and now I can't do it. It's made me sort of cranky all day.

Ooo! Anderson just said that Kathy Griffin is going to be on! I love her.

I got my new power cord. Actually, I got it on Monday morning, but I've been lazy and haven't really been on.

I had a good Easter. We went to my uncle's house this year. We usually go to my Aunt Liz's, but she took her boys to the beach for their spring break. It was nice. There's a lot more room at my uncle's. Which is good since there were eighteen people there. I got to see my little cousin. He's ten months and he's ADORABLE. Seriously. It's a little disgusting how cute he is.

My mom got a new car. It's a green 2001 Subaru Outback. It's real shiny, y'all. We went to the mall and the library today, and I had fun pushing all the buttons, like a five year old. My mom has wanted that car for a long time, so I'm happy for her. And if you guys want to know where I get my dorkiness from, I should tell you that since it's green, she named it Ollie. Because she's obsessed with the Green Arrow. I love my mom.

I'm still alive. I still haven't gotten a new cord for my laptop. Dell is being slow emailing me back. It went so fast last time. It's been almost a week and they still haven't shipped me a new one. Lame, Dell. Lame.

I'm housesitting for some people who live in our neighbourhood. Watching their little dachshund, Wilson. He's very cute. They have Tivo, which is lovely. Except everything on the cable channels is on east coast time, so that's throwing me off a little, BUT I can Tivo it, so it's all good. ;) And they have wonderful channels that I don't have, like Bravo and BBC America. I watched a few eps of Project Runway on Sunday and OMG, I heart that show so hard. WHY DON'T I HAVE BRAVO AT HOME? Anyway, they do have internet access, but it's upstairs away from the food and the TV, so I'm not online very often, plus, I'm afraid they'll know I went on livejournal and find my page, and oh my god, I don't want that to happen. So I'm stuck just using it here while I'm at work. And then I have to go to skip 9 million just to check my friends, so if I'm not really commenting, that's why. I haven't even looked at my communities since last Wednesday. That's a little scary.

So, the power cord for my laptop died. AGAIN. That's the second one to die since I got my computer in March. I looked at the customer comments on the website and apparently this is a common problem. Yay me. At least it's still under warranty so Dell will send me a new one. They usually ship pretty fast, so hopefully I'll have it by Saturday. I probably won't get it until Monday though. So if you want to know why I'm not around, that's why.

Here are somethings that have kept me pleasantly entertained while at work.

Pacey and Joey are OTP FOREVER AND EVER!

And I really did spend most of my morning watching Dawson's Creek clips.

ZOMG! Castaways is the BEST EPISODE EVAR!

Everyone should spend time watching Joey/Pacey clips

It makes me feel all warm and squishy inside.

In non-Dawson's Creek related news, I would watch a porn starting Pudgy Midway.

And Stephen Colbert brings joy and light into my life.

Good news on the computer front. Turns out that it was just the AC adapater and Dell is sending me a new one. It should get here in a few days, so I can have happy fun times on the internets again.

It is a Special Comment Night! Tune into Countdown to see Keith being fabulous.

And Dan isn't on his show today, so we have to wait to find out what his big announcement is. I'm assuming it's a formal announcement of his marriage to Keith, since Letterman spilled the beans, but I could be wrong.
bubbles83: (DW - Seriously?)
So, yesterday was crappy. Well, the day went fine. It was last night that sucked. I have an agreement with my sisters that I'll leave the TV in the family room alone during the day if I can have it from 10 till midnight.

I'm up in my room, watching TV or something in there and it's 9:55 so I unplug my laptop and head downstairs. I plug it in, and nothing happens. So at some point between when I unplugged it in my room, and plugging it in downstairs, something broke. I can't get the plug to work. And the battery only lasts about 2 hours, so I don't want to use my laptop unless I have too. Needless to say, I'm extremely annoyed and pissed.

It doesn't help that Anderson's whole freaking show was about Paris Hilton. Way make my night even more annoying, Anderpants. You're ON NOTICE, too.

Jon and Stephen at least made me feel better, by being funny and adorable. Also, Dan and Keith were fantastic and they actually switched seats half way through, and I love them lots. And Dave called one of them Dan Olbermann, but I wasn't looking at the screen so I don't know which one. I'm going to assume it was Dan, and he and Keith got married. Because that thought makes me happy.

ZOMG! This news almost makes everything better.

'Jumper One is most awesome. It's all fast and shiny and wireless. I can sit on my couch or lay in bed and check lj. It is truly a fantastic thing. It gets along very well with Princess Sheppardina and Count Rodula. In fact, I figured out how to do that bluetooth thingy and now whenever anyone sends me a text message my phone sound like the TARDIS. Which is pretty freaking awesome. You guys should send me messages so I get fun noises!

Who wants to hear more crazy ass fandom dreams? You all do? Wow. That is fabulo. Anyway. In my dream I was this crazy person and I had Rodney held hostage in some ancienty room. I wanted him to turn this machine on so I could have the treasure (I don't know if the machine made the treasure or if it told me where the treasure was, but it had something to do with treasure). Rodney didn't want to do this of course so I kept pointing this gun at him(Which, BTW, looked like a super soaker. Way to be a scary treasure hunter, Christina).

Then John knocks on the door and asks if Rodney needs any help. I'm still pointing my sooper skarry water pistol at him so he says, "I'm fine SHEP, just let me do my job." And John leaves. OR SO I THINK. A few second later, John comes blasting into the room and kills me. Then I do that thing you do in dreams where if you aren't part of the action anymore you just get to watch and John tells Rodney he knew something was wrong because Rodney never calls him Shep. And Rodney is all "Oh thank god you figured out my secret code." And then they make out.

And of course I wake up before the get to the good parts, and I lay there for a minute then go "WAY TO STEAL THE PLOT FROM EPISODES OF 90210, DREAMS." And my descent into freakville is complete.

PS: Go do my poll. How can I judge you if I don't know your feelings on these very important subjects.

Dudes. The last episode of SG1 airs today. That's... Ten year, man. Crazy. I'm sadder than I thought I'd be. I was upset that it had been cancelled, but ten years is an awesome run, for any show, so I wasn't too horribly upset, but now that it's here I feel really really sad. We'll get the movies, true, but those won't be the same. I'm gonna miss my crazy space rangers.

So here's a poll that has nothing to do with SG1 at all )

PS: My mom just texted me. MY LAPTOP IS HERE! WOO!

I just ordered my laptop. It should be here by March 20, which means it will be here in time for Doctor Who to start! WOOT!

Now I have to start thinking of names. I've got a few ideas, but nothing is decided yet.
