bubbles83: (Dr. Babydaddy is all Slod's fault)
I blame [livejournal.com profile] slodwick. She had to post about New Kids On The Block earlier, which means I have to share my NKOTB history with you now.

First of all, I give you this: Please Don't Go Girl

I'm not going to lie, I used to pretend that Joey was singing that song to me. We had a deep and true love and were going to get married and be happy forever and ever. Also, look how little he is!

I was obsessed with New Kids when I was younger. I'm not kidding. I had have a sleeping bag (listen, I don't use it anymore, it's for guests). I also had action figures and some of my dolls had tiny NKOTB backpacks. The action figures got quite a lot of action, sometimes dating two or three barbie dolls at a time. My Joey doll's head fell off one day and I think it broke my little soul. I still used it, but you had to keep putting the head back on every five minutes.

I had a NKOTB birthday party. I think it was my 9th. My mom made a cake (if I had a scanner I'd put a picture of it up) that said New Kids on the Block on it and had the names of some of their songs on it too. I got a video of them, I believe it was called Hangin' Tough. And we played Pin the Lips on Joey. Think pin the tail on the donkey, but with a Joey McIntyre poster and little slips of paper with kisses on them. Yes. It may have been the greatest birthday party ever.

And just because I haven't shamed myself enough today, I thought I'd inform you all that my ringtone is, in fact, Hangin' Tough.
