You all want to know why my mom rocks? She was at the Safeway by my house yesterday and she called me to ask what the name of that ice cream was I wanted to see if she could find it. And since there wasn't any there, today we're going to stop by another Safeway that the Ben and Jerry's website swears has it. AND if they don't have it, tomorrow we'll go to Alberton's. It's pretty out of the way, but damn, I want some Americone Dream. My mom loves me and understands my need for delicious Stephen-ness. I can tell you right now, if I find it, I'm buying every damn pint in the store.

1) What attracts you to a show? And what in addition attracts you to a show's fandom?
It sort of depends on the show. I didn't start watching Supernatural because it was deep and well acted. I started watching it because it was pretty. Then I found out that Ackles isn't too shabby in the acting arena. Some shows are just amazing and well written and I like those shows. Other shows (AKA: Most of the ones I watch) are just pretty and rompy fun. Some shows are both, but they're hard to find.

People mostly attract me to a fandom. If the people seem like fun then I'm more likely to take part. Especially if I have friends in that fandom already.

2) What's the most important quality you look for in another person (friend or significant other)?
Humor. A good sense of humor can make up for a lot of annoying qualities. If you can make me laugh, we can be friends.

3) Favorite food of all time.
Grilled Cheese sandwiches? Lasagna? Cheesecake? Jack In The Box tacos? I don't know if I can pick a favorite food of all time. That's like trying to pick a favorite child.

4) You can have any fictional character do whatever you want for one day - who is it and what do you have him/her do?
That is so hard. There are so many fictional characters that I would love to be mine for the day. I think I'd pick the Doctor. And I'd make him take me some place fun. Then maybe if he wanted to keep me on, we could travel around for a while.

5) What is one thing you would like to change about the world we live in?
I'd like people to be more accepting and loving of one another.

So I've watched the first five episodes of Friday Night Lights on NBC.com, and can I just say, FUCKING AWESOME. If Kyle Chandler got any hotter he'd melt my computer monitor. And by computer monitor, I mean my pants. I like it when he wears the headphones during the games. HOLY GOD. And, well, it was basically a given that I would like it. I love sports show/movies. There's something about underdog stories that I just love. I cry every time I watch Remember the Titans. And I've cried watching this. I can't wait to keep going.

Seriously, it's awesome.

1. Rodney McKay - If anyone could find a way to get us off a desert island it would be Rodney.

2. Jeremy Goodwin - He's geeky enough to be helpful in some way. I bet he knows like twelve ways to make a nice sturdy shelter.

3. Dean Winchester - If he hunts demons he can hunt us some food. Plus there's always a chance he'll throw me to the ground and have his way with me.

4. Martha Jones - You can always use a doctor and she wouldn't panic. She'd keep a level head.

5. Ace - All that time on the island is bound to get boring. Blowing things up seems like a good way to spend my time, and there's nothing Ace loves more than blowing shit up.

I avoided using people like the Doctor or Superman or MacGyver. You wouldn't want it to be too easy to get off the island.

Aww. There's a M*A*S*H category on Jeopardy tonight. ♥

I watched a bunch of Sports Night today. There are just no words for how much I love that show. And the characters in it. I think they might be my favorite characters on any show ever. Yes, I love them even more than I love John and Rodney. They are funny and flawed and broken and pompous and wonderful. I love them all. In every episode there is always at least one moment where I tear up or get goose bumps or go Aww. I wish I could keep them all in my pockets and cuddle them.

ihasatardis! A Doctor Who cat macro community! Excellent! Probably not as good as pundit macros, but what is?

Easter/Birthday was excellent. I went to my aunt's house and saw my family. We had good food and laughed lots and one of my aunts wore bunny ears and hopped around. My brother hid easter eggs for the kids and since we were in Oregon, looked for them in the rain. It wouldn't be the Pacific Northwest without rain on holidays that have outdoor participation. For all those concered I did get the Sports Night DVDs. And was thrilled. I watched the first eight episodes when I got home. I didn't mean to watch that many, I was just going to watch a couple, but once you start you can't stop.

So, yes, I had a good day. I hope you all had good days as well. *smooches flist*

I just got back from a birthday party for one of the boys we babysit. He turns two tomorrow. We're birthday buddies. :) Anyway, it was at one of those Kids Club places. Where they have the big climbing area with slides and tunnels and shit. I did NOT climb in the structure. Eww. There's no way it's sanitary. I did have fun though. And I got pizza and a cupcake. Two things that make Christina happy. I saw a woman there who could have been Kate Hewlett's twin sister. It was kind of creepy. She was there with this cute little girl with curly blonde hair. So obviously I thought about John and Rodney visiting Madison on her birthday and being dragged to a place like that. And Madison would want Rodney to take her down all the slide, and Rodney would absolutely NOT want to. But he would, because Rodney's really a big softie. Good times. Glad I'm not crazy or anything.

Then I went to the mall and got my dad his birthday present. I got him all five Rocky movies. I'm sure he'll like it. He enjoys Rocky.
