Has any one on my flist read The Dresden Files books? I like the TV show, and I'm thinking about getting some of the books. I was just wondering if they're any good.

It's crap like this that makes me want to shoot people in the face. The toast graphic did make me laugh though.

And if you actually watched that, you probably need something to make you feel less like going on a murderous rampage.

My housemate reads them and likes them enough to have bought them all one after another and, sometimes, all at once and to have the next one on her Amazon wishlist. She says the TV show's a lot different, but not so much so that you sit there going 'harumph!' all the way through. Depends on how easily you are moved to 'harumph!', I suppose.

I very rarely feel that movies/TV shows are as good as the books they're based off of, but as a fan of Harry Potter and Stephen King, I've learned not to let changes bother me.
