God, you guys write a lot. I didn't go online last night because my grandparents came over for dinner, then Heroes was on and then I got sucked into old family movies of my mom and her crazy family. So I go on today and I'm at skip 80. Not that I don't love it. I do. But I probably won't comment, because dudes, overwhelming. I'm a little frightened to check out my communities filter.

And I missed Jon and Stephen and I heard there was awesomeness.

It's Dan Patrick's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAN! I love you! And if you keep talking about Keith showing up in only a bow, you can't blame me for my dirty thoughts.

Falwell died. Just thought you'd want to know.

Probably. He had a family and I guess I feel bad for them, but really, I think we're all a little better off now.

Oh yes, on the level of personal loss for his family and friends, certainly his family would be rightfully mourning -- didn't mean to imply they shouldn't. I'm more thinking of enduring days of pundits going on about what a great man and spiritual leader he was, and it would be just not done to mention nutty things like gay Teletubbies.

For me, Nixon is the ultimate in this: When he died, there was all this yammering on about him being a great statesman, and it seemed to be in poor taste to bring up a little thing like Watergate.

But Nixon was a president. Maybe Falwell is too fringe and we won't be hearing too much in the way of posthumous plaudits!
