rezzies, classes and stupid white guys...
Oct. 1st, 2003 08:20 pmSo, I love my residents. They are the coolest people in the whole wide world. Very neat! The girls are way cute, they are super sweet.
My classes are going really well. I like them. Spanish, 2 history classes, and sociology equal mucho reading-o. And spanish is at 8 AM so that isn't so fun. I think sociology is going to be a really good class. Chuck Hunt is an awesome guy. And both of my history classes seem like they will be interesting, but typical history.
I'm reading Stupid White Men (not stupid white people, which is what I keep calling it) right now. I really like it. It is an excellent book and really makes you think about this country and how retardedly idiotic it is. If you haven't read it yet I highly recommend it. The first few chapters are all about how Bush "won" the election. I learned a lot of things I didn't know about it.
Speaking of Bush, here's a quote I heard in my soc class that he said: "The great thing about books is sometimes there're some fantastic pictures." OMG... I can't believe a man this illiterate is our president... The last time I heard anyone say anything remotely as dumb as that about books was Gaston from Beatuy and the Beast. I mean dear god, how dumb do you have to be to be compared to a Disney character from over 10 years ago. Well granted it was from me, and I relate EVERYTHING to TV, but still...

Forgive the intrusion...
Date: 2003-10-05 10:46 pm (UTC)a) Which history classes are you taking? Just out of curiousity...
b) Michael Moore is a funny man. And yet I found Bowling for Columbine thoroughly depressing... :>/
c) It is indeed sad that such a fool could rise to be President, I have a poster on my door of some of the other stupid things he's said, sadly its not all encompassing as there's not enough space on the door or on my walls...
Here're a few good ones: :>)
"Will the highways on the internet become more fewer?"
"If you teach your child to read he should be able to pass a literacy test."
"There's no question that the minute I got elected the storm clouds on the horizon were getting nearly directly overhead."
