Star Trek DS9.

1. Does Worf count if I fell in love with him on TNG? Technically, he was first. But if we want to go with DS9 in the beginning, probably Bashir. He was such a dork.

2. Kira. I disliked her when the show first started, but she really grew on me.

3. I've never really been all that involved in the ST fandom, so I'm not sure what popular opinions are and aren't, but I'm not really fond of ummm... Kai Winn. I don't think there are a lot of people out there who like her though. Does Keiko have a big fanbase? I never liked her much either.

4. I think people seem to find the Ferengi are annoying, but I always found them amusing. So any of them. I always liked Rom and was happy when he married Leeta.

5. I don't think there is one. Unless maybe you count Dax. I loved Jadzia, but never really warmed up to Ezri. I liked her okay, but she was so NOT Jadzia.

6. TEH SISKO! I'd totally let him breach my warp core.

7. Jadzia. She was smart and funny and strong. She knew what she wanted and went after it. She made mistakes and learned from them.

8. Probably Quark. I'm sure he'd be the first person to do or say something that would deserve it.

9. Worf/Jadiza was my DS9 OTP.

10. Julian/Ezri. And I wouldn't say I despise it, I just wasn't really a fan.

Ferengi-love!! Rom is my favorite DS9 character. (But don't tell anyone; I like to sound sophisticated and say it's Garak.) The Ferengi episodes are some of my favorites ever, like "Profits and Lace" when Quark becomes a woman to make a business deal, and "Little Green Men" where they're the Roswell aliens. "Moooooooogy!" Good good stuff.

Did other people like Vic Fontaine? I've never been sure of his reception. I loved him, myself.

I always liked "The Magnificent Ferengi" when they traded the Vorta for Ishka. I felt bad for that poor Vorta who had to put up with them.

I don't know how people like Vic. I loved him. In fact, I have a James Darren CD.

"The Magnificent Ferengi" might be the best Ferengi episode of all. I love the beginning where Rom and Quark are crawling through the tubes and tunnels talking about rescuing Moogy and they pop out into Sisko's office. And it has Iggy Pop!! As a Vorta! The role he was born to play.

Ahh, Ferengi love.
