The whole episode was just fantastic. The opener? The angry cameras? The CHALLENGING JOHN MELLENCAMP TO A FIST FIGHT? It's nights like this that make me remember that Stephen Colbert isn't just funny - he's fucking brilliant. :D
The opening was the thing I was really excited about, because I was really hoping he'd do that after how he ended the show on Tuesday, but then IT JUST GOT BETTER!
He's just squishy, silly love, that Stephen Colbert.
Plus, the 24-hour thing meant that he wore my favorite tie two nights in a row. (It's only my favorite because it's remarkably similar-looking my favorite pair of knee-socks, but still. XD)
