bubbles83Ok so here's my little rant about something that has been bothering me for a while now. These god freaking Progresso Soup ads. Is there anyone who actually likes them? Fucking Soup Nazis! Soup snobs!
Like this one: A man and woman were in a rustic cabin and the woman bitches, "CONDENSED soup?!? We're supposed to be getting back to nature, not childhood!" I would have been like, "Yeah, let's see you walk back to civilization, you hag!"
First, who the f*ck judges other people's soup choices? There are so many things to judge people on, but soup??? Come on, really get a life.
Second, even if you were going to snark on someone's soup, you wouldn't bust out with a mini-dissertation on why your soup is superior. Who puts that much thought into soup. It's just soup, if your husband likes campbell's soup let him eat it. Dear lord, If this is the sort of stuff you ride his ass about I think he deserves to enjoy a refreshing bowl of chicken and stars.
And third, it's not as if the mom just prepared a batch of fresh chicken soup made from homemade chicken stock for Pete's sake. It's Progresso. It's still filled with sodium. I sure as hell ain't spending $3.00 on canned soup when I can get the Campbell's for eighty cents.
Campbells Chicken and Stars, Chicken noodle, tomato and cream of mushroom all up in my pantry, beeeotch! Progresso? Not so much. Because I hate their ads, and the commercials lead me to conclude that if I start eating Progresso I will become an insufferable asshole.
Bitch, let the man eat his chicken and stars.
