Commercial. I should maybe tell you my feelings about having Amanda on the show. I love Sam. Love her. And I always love it when she guest stars, but she's SG1, not Atlantis, and I'm a little upset that she's becoming a regular. I really enjoyed the vibe everyone had together and don't understand why they need to bring her on. And this isn't me being worried that Sam is going to ruin John/Rodney. I enjoy Sam/Rodney. It's me worrying about how she's going to change the team dynamic. It could be wonderful, I'm sort of hoping we'll get some sort of Rodney/Sam/Radek giant braingasm. But I don't want her to take away from Radek time, or be the super one who always has to save the day after McKay does something. I'm going to try to be positive about this. We'll see how that works out.

Date: 2007-09-29 08:21 pm (UTC)and i think she only got invited on to the show in the first place as an appeasement to some of the issues that occured with her in sg1. i remember around season 6 or 7 she threatened to quit if she didn't get to direct an ep. and that towards the end she wasn't too keen on how her character didn't have much development after jacob/selmak died. i love sam too, but i loved weir more. i don't think sga got a good trade.
i was immensely worried that they were going to kill radek off just as soon as he got done fixing the conduits with an unexpected microasteroid.
and i have a strong suspicion that they'll go try to heist a zpm and the proximity of being so close to the rep homeworld will reactivate the nanites in weir in such a way that she turns into oberon's lover. and then she'll come back along with rainbow sun, robert davi, chief o'brien, and michael (played by a third actor) in a single climactic episode that will turn into a huge plot twist that involves supergates and aeryn sun's daughter coming in and saving the day because she finally realized that she loves her mother after all.
