Let's say I uploaded an icon that included a kind of, but not really, spoiler for something that already aired on Smallville. Would anybody be upset if I started using it? I don't want to Not Really Spoil anyone if they haven't seen it yet.

Perso, I don't mind, because I always stay outside of LJ until I saw the episode when I want to avoid spoilers. Maybe wait one week or two after the episode?

I certainly don't mind, but then, I'm up to date.

I've never seen anyone get annoyed about episode-related icons being used once the ep has aired in the states. I'll be interested to see if anyone has a problem with it!

It's not even really that spoilery. If you've seen the finale it wouldn't be a shock to see it. I'm just paranoid about spoiling people on my flist. I know how much people hate it.

I don't watch it anymore, but still kind of like to keep up on goings-on, so I wouldn't mind at all!

If you've seen or heard about the finale, it wouldn't be a big shock. Plus, they've already shown that it isn't true, so I didn't think it would be a big deal. But I'd rather ask than have my flist decide to murder me in my sleep.

Heh, nice icon! I probably would have assumed it was just Photoshopped. Then if I realized it was actually from the show, then, yes, my next thought would be "Oh, she's been dead before; it won't take."
