Hey! Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I went and house sat for my Uncle for a few days, so I wasn't really on the computer, and I spent most of the day yesterday on the Wii. I made Doctor and Martha Miis! And they are adorable. I would show them to you, but they're on my TV, and I couldn't get a good picture of them. I am pretty bad at most of the games. Except this cow racing game. I rock at that one.

So, Caity's birthday is coming up and I was going to get her a book, but I don't know what I should get. What sort of books did you read when you were in the 4th grade? I liked the Little House on the Prairie books when I was that age, but she has no interest in them. She really loves Sarah, Plain and Tall, but my mom is already getting her the other books in that series.

Me too! That is an excellent book. I've tried to get her to read it before, but she didn't sounds too interested in it. Plus, I think it might still be slightly above her reading level.

Maybe in a year or so I'll be able to talk her into it.

Ah. Then I second anything by Louis Sachar, and tentatively suggest the Babysitter's Club? I was reading those sometime around ten, I think, and I liked them very much at the time.

Oh oh oh, and this series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Boys_Start_the_War), which back in the day I read the first three books of. And Terror at the Zoo or The Volcano Disaster by Peg Kehret.

I feel so old, what with hardly remembering books I used to love.

I've tried to get both my youngest sisters to read the Babysitter's Club books. I adored them when I was their age, but they don't really have an interest in them. It makes me very sad.
