Okay, here's the dealio...

Did anyone else feel a little guilty watching TheA Daily Show and The ColberT ReporT? I definitely did, but it's not going to stop me watching them. I can't help it. I need my fix. I'll say this, they were better than I thought they would be. I wonder how long they'll be able to keep it up.

Lol, Stephen ran long. Is it because they couldn't do a rehearsal with a script before hand? Could they not edit it? Is he going to do that every night? Can he take turns with Jon? *needs extra Jon in her life*

Woah, I have been really out of it. They're back on? How is it working, exactly, are the hosts writing the whole show themselves?

Yes, they're back! I don't think there's so much writing going on, as sort of a general outline of what the show is going to look like and then ad-libbing in lines when they're taping. They obviously have some plan because they have video and graphics, but they don't have scripts to work from or anything.

I'll watch JS and SC today -- and I won't feel terribly guilty because, I mean, the country can't have an election without them. It's against the constitution or something.

ETA: Just noticed the dealio. It's spreading virally.

I would feel HORRIBLE if we had to go through an election year without Jon and Stephen, but I do feel a little bad watching them.

I wasn't going to do put the dealio bit in there, because only a handful of people on my flist would understand, but it amused me, so I did.

XD That solidarit unibrow had me giggling from the instant I saw it, and he didn't even bring it up for about two minutes. I think I was just giddy to see him.

I don't feel guilty about it because a.) obsession and b.) I've spent this entire strike not watching any of the old videos on thedailyshow.com, which is KILLING ME, because, hello, there are clips from pretty much every episode spanning back for ten years. I'm sacrificing all I can sacrifice without going insane.

Plus, you can't not be curious about how this is going to go down, what with there being no writers.
