Aug. 27th, 2008 07:25 pmI really suck at this LJ thing lately. I'm hardly posting at all. Sorry I'm boring, y'all. I haven't been doing much lately. Just working and watching the Dem Convention. I love conventions. Because I'm a nerd. We had a summer party last Sunday, and it rained! It's never rained at one of our parties before. Stupid weather. pescivendolo and mwshook showed up, and that was totally awesome.
I found out the library is opening up the application pool, so I'm thinking about turning in an app. Not that I don't love working at Macy's, but well, I sort of don't, actually. It's okay, and in this economy I'm lucky to have a job at all, but it's not really what I want to do forever (though, if a spot opened up in Bridal, it would be kind of cool to be a bridal consultant). Working at the library would be something I'd love to do.
So, that's pretty much the state of Christina.

While I was without my laptop I saw Singin' in the Rain, went down to Monmouth for my cousin's wedding, continued my exploration of the Doctor Who audios by listening to "Minuet in Hell" and "Invaders From Mars", and worked.
Today was full of cranky customers and the system went down so credit and bridal were down which made people crankier. I was so glad when it was time for me to go home.
Oh, and Rachel Maddow got her own show! WIN!!!!!!

Aug. 13th, 2008 10:06 pmI killed the power cord to Jumper One. D: Not cool. I ordered a new one from Dell, but I don't know how long it will take to get here. Super lame. I had plans for my days off that involved my computer and now I can't do it. It's made me sort of cranky all day.

If the answer to those questions is yes, you should go to Ester Short Park and watch Singing in the Rain. It's free and it'll be a lot of fun. My mom, sisters, and I went and saw Indiana Jones last Friday and it was awesome. Cold, but awesome.
The Fridays after that they're playing The Bee Movie then Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (both at Tech Center Park (172nd & Mill Plain)), then Princess Bride (at Ester Short Park again). I'm planning to go to all of them, so let me know if you're going to show up and we can get together.

Aug. 2nd, 2008 10:12 pmUmmm... Hi. So, it's been a while and there are people worried that I died in Vegas. I didn't. Promise. Sorry for the unexpected hiatus though. I meant to come on and check my flist, but the longer I went without checking it the easier it was to keep not checking it. You know? Maybe?

In non-Doctor Who news, my ear hasn't really bothered me today. I'm still going to go to the Doctor to have them check it out though. I'd hate to go to Vegas with an ear infection.

Jul. 4th, 2008 11:32 pmMy 4th was pretty good. Hung out at home and watched NCIS all day. YAY marathons! Then we did fireworks and no one got hit with anything, so I consider it a win.
I do think I have an ear infection, which blows, and I can't get to the clinic until Monday morning, which also blows. But my mom had some homeopathic drop things, so I put those in. We'll see how they work.
I am very excited about Doctor Who tomorrow. I won't be home from work until 9:30, so I hope I have enough will power to avoid spoilers until I can watch it.

It begins with a list of all 26 letters of the alphabet.
Comment with something for me to talk about that starts with one of those letters. Make me babble about anything -- TV shows, actors, actresses, food, etc. - be creative!
One topic per letter -- it's like a claims list, first person that leaves me a topic for a specific letter, that's who's topic I will write about. You might want to check comments first to choose a letter that hasn't been taken yet! I'll add topics to the list as they appear. HA HA! Last night I dreamed Mike Rowe friended my journal.
It's supposed to be 90 here today. :( TOO HOT.
So yesterday was a looooong day at work, and my mom new I wasn't looking forward to it, so when she took my sisters shopping she bought me a Wembley doll. :) I love my mom. She's so awesome.
ETA: Here's a link that made me smile. They match! I really like that shade of blue.
