I have given up trying to convert my sister into a Scissor Sisters fan. If you can't find it in your heart to bop around to "I Don't Feel Like Dancin" then there is no hope for you.
Today I had a grasshopper on my knee today. Scared the crap out of me. I'm not afraid of bugs or anything, but I had an itch on my knee, and when I pulled my skirt up to scratch it, the grasshopper was just there. Sitting there all, "What's up? I'm a giant grasshopper and I wanted to scare you half to death. WHY IS THAT HAND COMING TOWARDS ME? OH GOD! PLEASE DON'T HUR-" And that's where it stopped because I slapped it off my knee as fast as I could. We found it on the floor of the car when I got to work, it appeared to be fine. Hopped out of the car, hopefully to find some foxy lady grasshoppers and have a good time. Or sexy grasshopper dudes. I don't know which it would prefer and I don't want to be hatin'. I'm glad the grasshopper was okay, I felt kind of bad for smacking it around.
What day does the Harry Potter movie come out? My mom's calendar has it on both the 11th and 13th. Not that it matters since I probably won't see it for a few weeks after it comes out anyway, but I like to know these things.

Last Day Blues
Feb. 2nd, 2007 12:30 pmToday is my last day at Macy's. I don't really know if I'm going to dance out of there, excited that I never have to work there again, or sad that I never have to work there again. As much as I bitch about stupid customers and co-workers(not in my department) who are incompetent, I really liked working there. My manager is great, and probably the best manager in the store, and I genuinely like everyone in my department. Plus housewares is a great department to be in. I don't have to worry about dressing rooms and they let me play with fun gadgets. So, I get my evenings back (I don't have to tape SV or SPN anymore!), but I'm going to miss the friends I've made there. And my discount.
And boredom at the office job leads to memes, so here's the music one.

Nov. 6th, 2006 12:04 pmSuncoast was having a buy one get one free TV show sale on Saturday so picked up seasons two and three of Smallville for $50. Woot! I fully plan on watching Red and Rush about a million and twelve times.
In other news, Princess Sheppardina rocks at life or being an ipod or whatever. I usually just keep it on shuffle so I don't have to worry about playlists or anything, and earlier it played David Duchovny by Bree Sharp and then promptly went to the X-Files theme. :) It amused me.
