Apparently, my dad's boss is giving our family a trip to Mexico. In December we'll go down to Puerto Vallarta for five days. If my dad isn't making the whole thing up. Which, you know, is possible. My dad does stuff like that sometimes. It could be fun. It could also be an unmitigated disaster. You never can tell with my family.

I really want to go see PotC 3, but my mom is busy and we can't. I could go with my brother tonight (well, probably not since we don't have tickets yet), but I'd feel bad seeing it without her. We saw the first and second ones together, it's one of our things.

It wasn't as awesome as I'd hoped it would be, but I still enjoyed it. It didn't have anything to do with Martha, who was awesome, but... well I'm not really sure what it was. I like Joan, I liked the creepy scarecrows, I liked that psychic kid who is from Love Actually. I think it was the lack of the Doctor. I mean, obviously he was on it, but he wasn't him, and I enjoy Ten, so I wish I had gotten Ten. Instead, I got the dude that let's a little kid get beaten. Accurate for the time? Probably. But still.

I liked the shippy bits. The Doctor trusts Martha implicitly. He trusts her to know what to do, and to know when to open the watch. I mean hell, he trusts her with the watch. He said thank you to her and gave her that wonderful smile. Obviously, They Are In No Way Doing It.

I'm sure I'll enjoy it more upon rewatching it. Also, other people's squee usually makes me go, "Yeah, that was awesome." So maybe all is not lost yet. Tell me your favorite part so that I can test my theory and we can squee together. :)

Oh, I loved that smile. Just Guh. I melted on the spot and now the hubby is asking me what the heck got on the couch.

Martha protecting the Doctor and getting jealous was cool. As well as seeing the bits of the Doctor coming out. ("Where did you learn to draw?" "Gallifrey." "Is that an island" "I think so") And was I the only one that just about HAD A MOMENT when he kissed Joan? Good Lord, I would have killed to have that part. And noooo, there would have NOT have to have been multiple takes at all in that scene. ;)

Are you having trouble with MU? Because all that I download on it won't let my media player open it and it was fine last week. I've changed everything to .avi, but it still won't play. :( I had to use WinRar which I don't like to, because I want to burn the ep on a disk. Oh bother!

See, that whole scene was painful for me. But painful in the "Damn, this is good conflict and drama" kind of way. I mean, not only does he let that guy beat up the poor little kid, but he's there teaching them how to fire machine guns. The Doctor's gonna be torn up when he's back to normal and he remembers that. "Don't let me hurt anyone." That was rule #1. But it's not like Martha could stop that. And that made me really sad. But, you know, in the "godilovethisshow" kind of way.

I think my favorite part was Martha bonding with the TARDIS, stroking it and walking around the console, remembering what happened when the Doctor changed. That was so so so intense and so well-acted. This whole episode was. I gotta tell you, I love Martha, but I don't think Freema's the most absolutely fantastic actress. She's good. She's not as good as Billie. She's still young and inexperienced. But hello, she's a million times better than any Star Trek actors, or even most of the cast of Heroes. So it's sci-fi, it's par for the course. But Freema was incredible in this episode.

Guh, I'm so stressed out. I can't believe I have to wait a whole week for the next part. I loved this episode!

I loved the part where Joan found the page in his book with the sketches of the other Doctors. And the drawing of Rose! I freaked for a good 5 min or so about it, lol.

I was a little like you, there were bits I loved, but on the whole I wasn`t as thrilled I was expecting to be.

My favourite bit was the diary of impossible things, and all the ink drawing inside. The one of the Dalek was quite cool, and then the one with all the old Doctor`s was just squeeful!
