There's been a lot of bad feelings going on in fandom lately, and I had a dream I did this (The other one was about President Rudy Guiliani and his GIANT ROBOTIC DEATH MONKEYS). I thought it was a nice idea, so I'm going to do it.

Everyone has something they love about fandom, otherwise we wouldn't be here. So here's your space to give a reason why.

Say why you love fandom in general or a specific fandom.
Give someone involved in fandom some love (if they aren't on my flist you might want to link them to it so they see it)
Post a bit of your favorite fic (plz to be giving credit to authors)
Talk about why Character X is so awesome or how Character Y/Character Z makes you so happy.
Whatever else pleases you!

But please keep it positive. There really isn't much bashing on my flist, so I doubt it will get negative, but if it does, I'll delete the comments.

You know, I love the shows and all but I love it when the cast loves each other.

I love that too! When casts don't like each other you can usually tell, and it doesn't usually lead to great things (there are exceptions to this), but when they like each other it sort of bleeds onto the screen and it's wonderful.

Like the Ocean's movies. Ocean's Twelve is pretty shit, but I love it because you can see how much fun the actors are having together.

I love the inside jokes that exist in all fandoms. The ones that reflect the more absurd aspects of an actors'/producers'/characters' personality; sometimes they're written into a show, but sometimes they just appear. Like the Doctor loving bananas. It was meant to be a throwaway line, but fandom has accepted it as one our "jokes." No matter how silly these jokes are, or how often I hear/see them they still make me giggle.

To be all personal and real - I had just about given up on people. I was 29 and totally disillusioned with humanity.

To NOT get THAT personal, lol, I came to L.J. and have met some of the most wonderful people this planet has shown me in 3 decades of living.

I don't know if it's just the Supernatural fandom, or if they're all like this (I'm new to the land of fandom, darlings), but I'm so thankful I decided to try out LJ and stumbled upon these gorgeous people.

(Also, Hi @ bubbles83, nice to meetcha, LOL).

Now, onto specifics:

Actually, all of the writers on my flist are really flipping fabulous - or they wouldn't be there at all.

I'm obviously a Supernatural fan. I simply love the show and the Winchester family. They're real - as real as you can get kicking the ass of evil, and there's just so much LOVE there, it makes your heart ache.

I can't choose just anyone on my flist, (PLUS I RARELY CALL YOU BY YOUR REAL NAMES - I USE HYPHENATED VERSIONS OF YOUR LJ NAMES, LMAO) but I will say VICKI. I love you. Zoe, I love you. Sue and Susannah and Pip and Tith and Tabby and River and T.J. and Jen and Jennie and MADDY and BB and dean and maria and dev and willow and hannah and para and onci and LINZ and jey and......

I pretty much love my entire f-list. I am grateful for so many of them, and I think you, Miss Bubbles, are fabulous for making this.

The best thing about fandom is meeting such amazing, talented, open, crazy, passionate, funny people. People that I wouldn't know otherwise.
I love that no matter what happens.. we cheer each other on and give *hugs* and things like THIS.

I love the Supernatural fandom absolutely with all my heart because the passion and love of the cast and crew, mushed with the phenomenal Winchester dynamic, (& the overall brilliance of the people in this fandom), has given me TONS of happiness.

Without my flist.. my life would be void of imaginary man-sexxin and heart bursting love over how a particular gigantor climbs another freckled "shorter man" with glee. Or how cute their nose/laugh/BOWLEGS are. lol My flist really does keep me going sometimes and I'm really thankful to have met such wickedcrazyawesome people! _____________ ♥ ____ ♥ ________________


I also still REALLY love the *NSync fandom because we are keeping the sparkly hope alive! lol

This is what I love.

I love it when people inside of fandoms try to make one another happy. I love it when they include and when they welcome. I love it when fandom feels like a big, warm HUG. When there's so much love it's like one big puppy-pile for the middle. And I love it that at the very heart of all that happy are two glee-inspiring, squee-inducing boys. I love it when those boys are so happy, gleeful, and full of love themselves that it can’t help but rub right off on the rest of us!

I love the talent and the creativity that is fandom. I love the tiny bit of rational-crazy and the tons and tons of laughter that is fandom. I love the exuberant energy every one of us is willing to expend over a shared interest. I love that no matter where I look, I see difference and similarities, between people and their likes and dislikes and that most of my favorite fandom seems mature enough to give everyone latitude to be themselves.

I love our set of characters, our set of actors, the ear-piercing shriek-heard-round-the-world the night our show airs. But most of all? I love the porn. -grin-

Fandom should be a great big puppy-pile of love. I understand why there's wank and shipwars and imbroglios, but for the most part fandom is a place to go to be happy, so I'm glad I could give people a place to do that.

This is a wonderful idea because - I love my f-list! I love fandom - I love that there are people as crazy as I out there and that there are all these wonderful people who I get the chance to *know* despite being tucked down under down under and socially inept. Seriously - f-list? You are wonderful.
Some days in all honesty you're the only 'wonderful' thing in my life - that may be sad, but well. there you go.

Fandom? You're crazy as pie and I love you to bits.
I am somewhat of a fandomslut, jumping over anime, manga, tv-shows, books and - anything that catches my eye really - but at the moment i'm thoroughly well and truely hooked into Supernatural.
I love sam and dean both an unhealthy amount that i'm sure my therapist would worry about (if i was to tell her..and really, I dont think thats a good plan ...'cause, wincest and um..yeah. @_@)But I dont care. I love this show, I love how much fun it is and how much thought it provokes and I love the brothers dynamic and bobby - bobby is made of awesome.

I love Doctor Who fandom because it is so unashamedly whimsical and wild. We can say things like "Oh, not Space Rhinos again!" and "I like the 6th season better than the 28th" and "Shakespeare was an awesome guest star." Kind of the same reason I like Stargate. "Stranger things have happened.""Name but one.""Well, there was the time he got really old, the time we turned into cavemen, the time we all swapped bodies..."

I love how fen are so creative and smart. The shows think we can slip stuff by us, but you just know that if there is some little tidbit that fit you personal canon exactly there is someone out there who you can go to squee with. ^.^

I love the SPN Fandom just because of everyone in it. They're such talented people in it, and I love each and everyone of them, even if I don't say it all the time.
J2 is my fav outta anything, cause... HELLO, It's J2. *dies*
I'd have to say that out of all the people on my flist,
even though I love everyone, my BFF Kida has to be the best of the best. She's alwasy there for me (in the literal since) and visa-verca (sp?) I can't stress how much I love her.
Now my fav. fic.... Well, I don't really know which one is my fav, though at the moment cherryscott's (and ze_pink_lady, I think) Easy to Say (Harder to Feel) story is like, the best at the moment. It's everything you could ever want in a fic, and no matter how many times you read it, it's better and better. It never gets old. And they're always updating.

I think what I love most about fandom is that it makes me feel a little less alone in this crazy mixed up world. Probably cheesy and crazy, but TV has always been my escape from the world, and I have always felt a little isolated because of how into shows I got. But then I found fandom, and you know what? It wasn't just me. It was whole SECTION of the world writing little anecdotes and stories and they were THERE. Writing along with me. Loving along with me.

And I love that no matter how crazy of an idea I have, no matter how silly a pairing I have in my mind... other people see it too. :D

So much to love...jelloh0530 sent me! My RL flist marie introduced me to LJ (and SuperNatural). I love to read all the fan fic - when I watch the show now, I add all kinds of my own little commentary. I have a fascination with the spiritual world as well as witchcraft and I like to be surrounded by interesting people, and LJ is where it's at!!!
