There's been a lot of bad feelings going on in fandom lately, and I had a dream I did this (The other one was about President Rudy Guiliani and his GIANT ROBOTIC DEATH MONKEYS). I thought it was a nice idea, so I'm going to do it.

FANNISH LOVE IN

Everyone has something they love about fandom, otherwise we wouldn't be here. So here's your space to give a reason why.

Say why you love fandom in general or a specific fandom.
Give someone involved in fandom some love (if they aren't on my flist you might want to link them to it so they see it)
Post a bit of your favorite fic (plz to be giving credit to authors)
Talk about why Character X is so awesome or how Character Y/Character Z makes you so happy.
Whatever else pleases you!

But please keep it positive. There really isn't much bashing on my flist, so I doubt it will get negative, but if it does, I'll delete the comments.

This is what I love.

I love it when people inside of fandoms try to make one another happy. I love it when they include and when they welcome. I love it when fandom feels like a big, warm HUG. When there's so much love it's like one big puppy-pile for the middle. And I love it that at the very heart of all that happy are two glee-inspiring, squee-inducing boys. I love it when those boys are so happy, gleeful, and full of love themselves that it can’t help but rub right off on the rest of us!

I love the talent and the creativity that is fandom. I love the tiny bit of rational-crazy and the tons and tons of laughter that is fandom. I love the exuberant energy every one of us is willing to expend over a shared interest. I love that no matter where I look, I see difference and similarities, between people and their likes and dislikes and that most of my favorite fandom seems mature enough to give everyone latitude to be themselves.

I love our set of characters, our set of actors, the ear-piercing shriek-heard-round-the-world the night our show airs. But most of all? I love the porn. -grin-

Fandom should be a great big puppy-pile of love. I understand why there's wank and shipwars and imbroglios, but for the most part fandom is a place to go to be happy, so I'm glad I could give people a place to do that.
