I've been helping my mom babysit today so I haven't been online really, but I didn't want to forget about YouTube Wednesday.

First up, we have one of my favorite cartoons. Darkwing Duck!

[Let's get dangerous!]

Two more under the cut! )

Oh, Trinity. How I love you. You start out with the fun geeky LOLZ and end with OH NOES TEH ANGST. I would like to hold you to my chest and squeeze you forever.

PS: Was Badger always hot? I never noticed until last night. I may have to go back and rewatch his Firefly episodes. It will be such a hardship.

What five items owned by characters in your fandom(s) would you most like to own?

1. Puddlejumpers. Are there people who don't want mind controlled spaceships?

2. The Metallicar. Like I wasn't going to mention this. Bonus if Dean comes with it.

3. Verna. I'm not much of a gun person, but Verna is pretty nice.

4. Angel's Jacket. I loved Angel's coat. More than I loved Spike's, and if I could have it I would be very happy.

5. Wilson. House may not technically own Wilson, but let's face it, he totally has dibs, and if he would be willing to share, I'm sure we can work something out.

PS: If anyone hears distressed wailing around 10 PM it's because I'm stuck at work until at least 10:15 and am going to miss SGA. But if you hear happy sqeeing at midnight, that's me, watching it.

Wow. It's been forever since I updated. Mostly because I don't have much to say. Christmas was good. I got some pretty cool stuff.

I got one of those CSI puzzles and I finished putting it together today. To be honest, my mom did most of it. She'll probably end up doing most of my brothers too, but she really likes puzzles, so I don't mind that much. :) There's no picture refernce though, and that made it a lot harder than I'd thought it would be. I kind of liked how challenging it was, I might just put puzzles I buy in shoeboxes now, so I never can use the picture. The UV light was fun, but I'm a big dork, so it could just be me.

I also got Firefly and Lois and Clark for christmas. I finished Lois and Clark last week. God, I loved that show when it was on. Watching it now, it's kind of dumb, but fun dumb, and the special effects really aren't that great, but I'm sure they were pretty good for the time. Lex is still gay as ever, but it's a different gay. Less Perfectly Pressed Shirts and more Wearing An Ascot sort of way. It's funny that I know they don't get together for a while, but I was still rooting for it to happen. I'm such a geek.

I've started going through Firefly, but it's slower going, because I watch them with my mom. It did watch the commentary on "Serenity" the other night. I swear just when I think I can't love Joss any more, he says something incredibly dorky and I just do. Damn you Wheadon.

Work is good. I'm not just seasonal anymore, and I got moved to Housewares. I like that department a lot. There aren't clothes to fold, and I get to play with fun gadgets :) Plus, I somehow think that the customers in there are a lot less bitchy than the ones in the clothing departments. I don't know why. It's just appears that way. Maybe it's because when you buy a bigger Kitchen Aid mixer it's not because you've gained five pounds.

And just in case you all needed more proof that Sci Fi Friday has eaten my brain, I had yet another weird dream about sci fi shows (Sci Fi Friday always does this to me). It was about Bosom Buddies. Keep in mind I've never actually watched that show before, but I know that plot, and it was basically the same. Well, except instead of Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari in dresses, we have John and Rodney. John didn't really look that bad. He's got nice legs. In my dream anyway. I've never paid attention to his legs on the show (Except the thigh holster. You can't ignore that. Trust me.) I'm usually more distracted by his hands, and his wrist band. And now I've gone off on a tangent... Except that he wore the wrist band in my dream (he'll wear that damn thing with everything) so maybe it wasn't off topic. and if anyone is still reading this long babbling thing I'm very impressed and you get a cookie. Or skittles. Damn! Now I want candy. Hmm. Time to rummage through the kitchen.

I have many things to discuss with you today, so I think it's best if I do this in list format

1. I finally got a job. Thank god! It's at Meier & Frank, so it's not like, the greatest job ever, but a job is a job. Even at Christmas time. So basically I'm going to be tired and cranky until January. Guess who is going to get all my whining :)

2. I think Zorro stole their music directly from Pirates. Every time a preview comes on and I'm not looking at the TV I think it's going to be a commercial for the new Pirates movie. (Yes I know it's not coming out for a while, leave me alone.)

3. This my be sacrilege, but I think I love Stephen Colbert more than Jon Stewart. You may stone me if you wish.

4. Grey's Anatomy is a great show, and I want to know why no one is dating George, for George is THE MAN.

5. I need someone to see Brokeback Mountain with me when it comes out. For reasons I can't figure out a movie about gay cowboys does not appeal to my mom or my little brother.

6. Stargate SG1 and Atlantis got renewed. YAY. Well for Atlantis anyway. God only knows what they'll come up with for SG1 (Which I think I will now call The Show Which Will Not Die). Hopefully more Vala, for she is fabulous.

7. I finally saw Batman Begins. Fabulous. Bats is my all time favorite superhero. I think it's the fact that he's all angsty and way frelled up. Plus he doesn't have any superpowers, he's just some rich kid with toys. I love that. Way better than Superman. Christian Bale is probably the best Batman ever. I thought Michael Keaton got the screwed-upness of Batman, but not the rich playboy part, and Val got the playboy part right, but not how mess up Bats is. Christian got both parts wonderfully.

And now I have weird thoughts about whether Bruce ever went to boarding school and whether he could be there with Lex Luthor. Think about all the sex hijinks.

8. Despite the fact that this post has nothing to do with Firefly or Serenity I'm using my shiny Wash icon.

When you see this on your flist, go post a Firefly quote in your journal.

Book: What are we up to, sweetheart?
River: Fixing your Bible.
Book: I, um... what?
River: Bible's broken. Contradictions, false logics. Doesn't make sense.

WEEEE!!! Serenity comes out on Friday. *Dance of joy*

I need a Firefly icon...

John Sheppard is a total geek and I love him for it. Also, he is very very pretty.
McKay is the sex.
Atlantis is very very gay.

You know why I like Battlestar Galactica so much? Because I always feel slightly uncomfortable when I watch it. Like I know the Cylons are evil and they pretty much destroyed human civilization, but every once in a while I start to feel a little sorry for them and think that they might have a point. Not that humans deserved what they got, but I can see where the Cylons are coming from. I like the show because you can see that humanity isn't all we think it is, or want it to be, and that we are capable of being just as bad as they are. I like that we're meant to feel uncomfortable when we watch it, and that it works. So, in conclusion, if you aren't watching Battlestar Galactica you should be. And yes, Friday at 10 is a crappy time for a show to be on, but this is 2005, get yourself a VCR and record the damn thing.

And as long as we're talking about gayness, I have a quote and a story to share.
From here in an interview with Elijah Wood.
A couple of weeks ago Dominic Monaghan told NEWSWEEK that you two were having an affair.
Dom's actually going to have my child. We're very excited, very proud. We're going to name it Frodo. He wanted it to be called Mary, but I thought since it was my sperm I get to choose.
Needless to say, my love for gay gay Elijah and Dom with never die.

Now for the story. My screen saver is currently pictures of attractive people, because I am mentally a 12 year old girl and thought it wasn't fair I couldn't pin up pictures on my wall anymore. Anyway, I have quite a few pictures of the LOTR boys on it, and most of them are ones of them kissing, or cuddling, or gazing at each other (mostly Dom and Billy do the gazing). So my mom was watching my screen saver the other day, and she looked at me and said, "You know, if I didn't know any better, I'd say these boys were a little bi." I laughed for a while, and said, "You have no idea." I love my silly gay hobbits(and elf).
