More Lego people. I got lazy and didn't resize them, so they're a little big.

I went to the dentist today. No cavities! Go me! I really like my dentist. Everyone who works there is really nice, and we're in there often enough that they know us pretty well. I still wish they wouldn't gouge my gums with their sharp metal instruments though.

Then I took my brother and some of his friends to Ocean's 13. I thought it was excellent. Not as good as the first, but better than the second. But I might not be a good judge. Throw Brad, George, and Matt into a movie and it basically becomes fully clothed porn to me. I don't watch it for the plot.

Remember when that M&M site went around? Well, here's one that let's you make little Lego people.

I'm sure you can guess what I did at work today. )

Debating the finer points of marshmallow roasting with my dad. I say you stick it in the flames and let it catch on fire. Nice and charred on the outside and nice and melty on the inside. My dad prefers to slowly twist it just outside of the flames so it gets a nice golden brown (which is not as good as my way). How do you all roast marshmallows?

I miss Keppler.
bubbles83: (DW - Ten/Jackie OTP)
Listening to The Stone Rose after watching Blink is kind of funny. Also, I never fail to be amused by David Tennant's impressions of everyone.

The best Doctor Who macro EVER.

The Heroes Slash Manual. The greatest thing ever in life! Go check it out.

PS: Did anyone watch Countdown? Was Keith using a pink iPod? And if he was, am I the only person amused by that?

Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] triptnx! Except, I'm bad at time zone crap and I don't think you'll actually get this until AFTER your birthday. Oops. Sorry. I hope you have/had a great day filled with Anderness. Umm. Maybe I'll do something Andersony for you later. Or McKay/Sheppardy. Anyhoo. ♥s

OH. MY. GOD. Best Colbert Report since Singin' In Korean. Amazing.
bubbles83: (To read makes our speaking English good)
I just got back from the mall. And it was fantastic. I got myself some cute earrings from Claire's (shut up), but that isn't the fantastic part. No. The fantastic part is that the library was having a book sale. I bought The Hobbit because our copy is really old and the cover is just taped on. I thought it was time for a newer copy. And I've never read Sense and Sensibility so I picked that up as well. I've read Dreamcatcher by Stephen King, but I don't own it, and you can't usually get hardback books for a dollar so I grabbed that as well.

Those aren't the best things though. Oh, no. They were selling trashy harlequin novels for a quarter each, so I bought 4 of them. The Sicilian's Bought Bride, The Sheikh's Captive Bride, Pregnant by the Greek Tycoon, and The Frenchman's Captive Wife. I'm sure they'll all be fantastic. I'm also sure I'm going to be mentally inserting John and Rodney into all of them. Because that's how I roll. I figure they'll be fun to read when I'm down in Mexico.

Still, those aren't the best part either. They're pretty awesome, yes, but the most wonderful thing is the choose your own adventure book I found. But it's not just any choose your own adventure. It's a Magnum P.I. one. Maui Mystery #1. Complete with Tom Sellek in little shorts on the cover. Now, can you think of anything more fantastic than that? Other than Spock, Messhiah!, of course.

And I got all of that for $5.50. I think any day when you can get 9 books for that little money is a good one.

Now I'm going to see if Ben Affleck made a fool of himself on Hardball.

J.Flan wants to go to space. How cute is that? And fandom has responded in the only way we know how. By making a community. Go check out [livejournal.com profile] space_flan.

PEE ESS: OMG TOSS!

There are many reasons I love my job, today's reasons? I got to watch an episode of Psych and an episode of Count Duckula. I thought since Psych is starting up again soon (OMG JULY!), I'd start watching it from the beginning. And Count Duckula is just awesome and I didn't know I could find it on YouTube, but it's there. Stellar!

The new Buffy comic was supposed to come out today. I think I'll go to Borders tomorrow and see if they have it. They had the Gunslinger comic the last time I was there and the second Buffy one, so I'm hoping they will. When I order comics online I feel a little silly having to pay more for shipping and handling than I do for the comics.

My dad loves me! He brought home this strawberry shortcake dessert thing. But it's like strawberry shortcake x 1,000,000 on the yummy scale. The cake has some sort of cream cheese filling and there's chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate sauce on top. It's like the greatest thing of all time. And I'm pretty sure I gained 5 lbs eating it, and it's so good, I don't even care. Also, there's a bit of a sugar high going on. WHHEEEE!

OH MY GOD. Paul Rudd rocks my world.

ETA: That Colbert guy is pretty good too. GOD MACHINE!
bubbles83: (I heart nerds)
According to ljArchive, my most used word (excluding common words) is "John" at 264 uses. Followed by "Rodney" at 236. I don't know if that should worry me or not.

Also, if you want to know who comments the most in my journal, the answer is [livejournal.com profile] hoshinekoyasha. Followed by [livejournal.com profile] smidgy06, [livejournal.com profile] mmmbopthis, [livejournal.com profile] havocthecat, and [livejournal.com profile] pie_is_good.
bubbles83: (DW - Martha IS awesome)
You know what I enjoy? Pizza. And cake.

I also enjoy Martha Jones. She is made of win. And well on her way to Acedom. I'll do a post on DW tomorrow. Probably. But the fact that Martha rocks is the most important thing to get from the episode.

Yipee!

OH HELL YA! 1969 is on! I love this ep!
bubbles83: (Gen - Out of this world)
I just got back from an elementary school talent show. It wasn't too bad. The fourth grader who did her stand up comedy routine about Mother Goose rhymes was a little scary. There was this one kid in the first grade who played Beethoven. It was crazy. He didn't even use music he had it memorized. And TWO different kids did things with bongos. Which is awesome, but I didn't know the bongos were so big in Vancouver. My favorite (other than my sister) was the kid who dressed up as Spiderman and sang the theme song. He was awesome. No one messed up horribly and no one fell off the stage. I'm sure it makes me a bad person that I was hoping for that, but I can't really be bothered to care.
