Hey guys, Creationist Science Fair!

It includes such gems as "My Uncle Is A Man Named Steve (Not A Monkey)" and "Women Were Designed For Homemaking"

I feel a little bad mocking the monkey kid, she's only in the fifth grade, but she proved her uncle wasn't a monkey by trying to feed him bananas and then he wouldn't eat them. That's the scientific method at work, my friends. I feel no such pity for the seventh grader who did the homemaking project. Honest to God, it actually says, "social sciences show that the wages for women workers are lower than for normal workers, meaning that they are unable to work as well and thus earn equal pay" Fuck you very much, Jonathan.

Okay, I have to admit, I'm a little curious about the "Thermodynamics Of Hell Fire" and I bet "Pokemon Prove Evolutionism Is False" would be HILARIOUS.

Dudes, I know. I knew that I would just be annoyed by what I saw. It's not even the not believing in evolution thing, it's the fact that they call this science. And then use it to say stupid crap about women. And monkeys.

Honest to God, it actually says, "social sciences show that the wages for women workers are lower than for normal workers, meaning that they are unable to work as well and thus earn equal pay"

The (non-) logic of using that argument to prove "Women Were Designed For Homemaking" is about to make my head go kablooey.

One thing that makes all this so gaaaah is that it's so familiar. When I was in the seventh grade, I was reading Christian books debunking evolution, etc. in my spare time. If I had done one of these experiments in school, I would have gotten just as much praise and admiration from my family and church community as I'm sure these kids did. But my public school science teachers, God bless them, would have skewered me, and then the whole town would have been in a festering uproar. Oy.

I probably wouldn't have said anything about the link if I hadn't read that women workers thing. That was just... I mean the thing about women workers vs. 'normal' workers? WHAT? Women aren't normal? What the hell is that?

Well and the whole not eating bananas = not a monkey thing. I ate a banana today. AM I A MONKEY? MY ENTIRE WORLD HAS BEEN TURNED UPSIDE DOWN!

Pokemon Prove Evolutionism Is False. OMG. I would show up just to see that. I can't even begin to think about this logic. It would totally give me a headache, but I don't care. It would be awes.

I loved the "Life cannot evolve from non-life" experiment.

To do it properly, one would have needed to wait FOUR BILLION YEARS!

But, srsly, sure this isn't a site sponsored by The Onion?

I have no idea about The Onion, but I would feel so much better about the world if it was.

"Pokemon Prove Evolutionism Is False" I really really want to know what thinking went on behind that...
