Did anyone else feel a little guilty watchingTheA Daily Show and The ColberT ReporT? I definitely did, but it's not going to stop me watching them. I can't help it. I need my fix. I'll say this, they were better than I thought they would be. I wonder how long they'll be able to keep it up.

My gift to my flist is the gift of Joe. ( I, um... I got a little carried away. Also, lazy. I didn't check the sizes on any of these so they could be HUGE. NOT DIAL-UP FRIENDLY. )

Jan. 4th, 2008 04:44 pmWent shopping today. I ended up getting Caity a boxset that has A Little Princess, The Secret Garden, and Anne of Green Gables in it. It even comes with a little locket. I don't know if she'll have any interest in them, but they're books I enjoyed, so she damn well better think they're fantastic! And I got her The Secret School by Avi. Sitting right next to that book was The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle, which was one of my favorite books, but my mom made me get rid of it when we moved to Vancouver, so I picked that up for myself, and maybe if she's nice to me, I'll let Caity read it. I also picked up a couple of Doctor Who books. Wetworld, which I heard was good. And Independence Day, a Seven and Ace novel. For all I know it could be total shit, but it's Seven and Ace, so I bought it.

Hey! Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I went and house sat for my Uncle for a few days, so I wasn't really on the computer, and I spent most of the day yesterday on the Wii. I made Doctor and Martha Miis! And they are adorable. I would show them to you, but they're on my TV, and I couldn't get a good picture of them. I am pretty bad at most of the games. Except this cow racing game. I rock at that one.
So, Caity's birthday is coming up and I was going to get her a book, but I don't know what I should get. What sort of books did you read when you were in the 4th grade? I liked the Little House on the Prairie books when I was that age, but she has no interest in them. She really loves Sarah, Plain and Tall, but my mom is already getting her the other books in that series.
